Trike! Primeval Earth Triceratops, the horned holder

Triceratops is the hold-ground herbivore on Trike! Primeval Earth. When a lobby has too many carnivores and you want a body that can sit in a clearing and make the apex think twice, this is the job. The horns are not cosmetic. IcicleTriceratops is a look on the same body, not a second species with different stats.

This page stays qualitative. No fake HP. Role letters sit on the herbivore list: S for solo PvP because the horn hold is real, S for pack because horn lines win against uncoordinated hunters, A for beginner survival because the cost is not entry-level and the body is not a hide-and-browse playstyle, A for Fossil efficiency if you want a second herbivore that can actually hold space. Unlock and what you are buying

Fossils buy the Triceratops base. IcicleTriceratops is a look that may appear in the shop around events. There is no Prime, Chaos, Eclipse, or Primitive pass skin for this body in the documented packs.

Prime Pass is Spinosaurus Prime, TyrannosaurusRex, and Allosaurus Prime. Chaos Pass is ChaosGiganotosaurus, Mutyrant, and Agilipterus.

How Triceratops actually plays

The horns and the bulk are the kit. Face the charge. A Triceratops that runs in a straight line through open sand is using the body wrong. Stand, face, let the carnivore come to the horns, then consider the counter.

Against carnivores:

• Tyrannosaurus and Giganotosaurus will usually detour if you face them. They do not want the horn cost on a clean kill.
• Carnotaurus speed means you need to face early. Sprint angles are the sprinter’s advantage; standing your ground is yours.
• Dilophosaurus is not a threat if you face it. Small hunters need you to run.

Against other herbivores:

• Parasaurolophus browses and leaves. Triceratops holds and grazes. Different playstyles.
• Pachycephalosaurus headbutts are not a threat if you face forward. The body is smaller.
• Bauruspinus is another heavy. Two herbivores standing together hold more space than either alone.

Growth: babies are visible. Grow in Red Wood or Pines using the growth planner. A juvenile Triceratops in the open is a billboard.

Pack play

Horn lines work. A group of Triceratops that all face the same direction is a wall. Carnivores will usually detour rather than charge a line. Pachycephalosaurus mixed in adds headbutt pressure against the wrong targets.

Fossils and when Triceratops is the right spend

Redeem codes first. Buy Triceratops when you want a herbivore that can actually hold space and make apexes think twice. Buy IcicleTriceratops only after the base exists and you want the look.

Premium 1.2× Fossils and VIP 1.5× Fossils / 1.2× growth speed the grind. They do not make the baby stage safer.

Map notes:

• Aquatic Expansion (June 2026) added water Triceratops should not enter.
• Flying Expansion (July 2026) added sky you cannot headbutt. Flyers are not your problem.
• Anniversary cakes sit on land. Triceratops is slow to the pile but the pile is usually in a clearing, which is your preferred terrain.

The Asteroth Mission is scheduled for 25 September 2026. Triceratops is a sane choice for land-based events where holding space matters.
