Giganotosaurus is the second apex body on the Trike! Primeval Earth roster. It sits in the same land-conversation as Tyrannosaurus: large, hits hard, and costs the Fossils to match. Chaos Giganotosaurus is the Chaos Pass skin that sits on this base, not a second species with different stats.
This page stays qualitative. No fake DPS. Role letters sit on the carnivore list: S for solo PvP because the kit is apex-level, C for beginner survival because apex babies are dinner bells, A for pack because two Gigas in a bush compete for the same kill. Roster context sits on the dinosaur hub.
Base, Chaos skin, and the pass trap
Unlock the Giganotosaurus base with Fossils. Chaos Pass then adds Chaos Giganotosaurus as a skin on that base, next to Mutyrant and Agilipterus. The Chaos icon will not spawn a Giganotosaurus if you do not own the body.
Prime Pass is not a Giganotosaurus pack. Prime Pass is Spinosaurus Prime, TyrannosaurusRex, and Allosaurus Prime.

How Giganotosaurus actually plays
The kit is apex-level. Size, bite reach, and presence all sit in the same conversation as Tyrannosaurus. The differences are subtle and player-reported: slightly different turn radius, slightly different sprint, but the same general role of large carnivore that wins fair 1v1s against most of the roster.
Against other apexes:
- Tyrannosaurus and the Tyrant line are the same conversation. The matchup is roughly even.
- Spinosaurus on land: Giganotosaurus wins a fair clearing fight. The water door does not help Spino on dry ground.
- Kharnivore is S if you own it. Gift-box lottery, not a Fossil goal.
Against herbivores:
- Everything is prey. Triceratops can hold briefly but eventually loses a fair fight.
- Hadrosaurs are the preferred target. Parasaurolophus and InterstellarSpacialParasaurolophus do not hold against a Giga.
- Bauruspinus is heavy but still not an apex conversation.
Growth: apex babies are dinner bells. Grow in Red Wood or Pines using the growth planner. A juvenile Giganotosaurus in the open is free Fossil income for someone else.
Pack play
One Giganotosaurus is a pack. Two Giganotosaurus in the same bush compete for the same kill and teach every herbivore on the island where not to walk. If your friends want to group on large carnivores, split the diet: one Giga, others on mid-tier or herbivores.
Fossils and when Giganotosaurus is the right spend
Redeem codes first. Buy Giganotosaurus when you want the apex experience without the Tyrannosaurus name. Buy Chaos Giganotosaurus only after the base exists.
Premium 1.2× Fossils and VIP 1.5× Fossils / 1.2× growth speed the grind. They do not make the baby stage safer.
Map notes:

- Flying Expansion (July 2026) added sky Giganotosaurus cannot reach. Stop jumping at Quetzalcoatlus.
- Anniversary cakes sit on land. Giganotosaurus is fast to the pile but the pile is usually a trap for apex bodies.
