Trike! Primeval Earth First hour on the island
Codes first, diet second, growth third. Skins wait until the base dinosaur is unlocked.
Your first hour in Trike! Primeval Earth is not a combat tutorial. It is a spending tutorial with a hunger bar attached. TEA - Studios drops you in as a baby on a 30-player island. Adults already know the watering holes. If you spawn, sprint at the nearest Rex, and open the shop in a panic, you will donate pe4years to a pretty skin you cannot equip. This page is the order of operations that keeps those Fossils.
The game has been on Roblox since 23 August 2022. It is online multiplayer, not a single-player campaign. Treat every lobby as occupied. The guides hub lists later topics; this page only covers the first session.
Stay on the menu until codes land
Launch the experience. Do not press Play. The gift / present button lives on the main menu. Paste the live strings from the codes hub into Insert Code and confirm. As of early September 2026 the two that still matter are pe4years (4,000 Fossils) and nosril (3,000 Fossils). They are case-sensitive. If Confirm fails, leave the server and rejoin once, then check how to redeem before you assume the drop ended.
Codes ignore Roblox Premium and VIP multipliers. Those multipliers only change Fossils and growth from play. The 7,000 from the two live codes is a flat grant. Spend it after you pick a diet, not before.
Pick a diet you can actually feed
Every morph belongs to a food rule. Herbivores browse plants that sit in the open and under canopy. Carnivores need kills or carcasses other players leave. Aquatics work the coast and the later seas. Flyers hunt from above once you understand stall. If you cannot say which of those four you will do for the next thirty minutes, you are not ready to buy.
A practical first choice for a new account is a herbivore you can park in cover, or a small carnivore if you are willing to scavenge instead of duel. Read the tier list for what is strong this patch and the dinosaur roster for what you actually own. The teaser below is mood, not a shopping list.
Grow the baby before you shop
You always hatch small. The baby hitbox is easy to miss if you hide and easy to one-shot if you do not. Eat and drink until the growth bar moves. Empty hunger and empty thirst kill you without a fight. How to grow is the mechanic page; the rule for hour one is simpler: stay near food and water, avoid adult silhouettes, and do not sprint across Desert in a straight line.
VIP is a 1.2× growth multiplier and a 1.5× Fossil multiplier from play. Premium is 1.2× Fossils from play. Neither is required to finish the first hour. If a lobby is running a 2× growth event, use it on a dinosaur you already understand, not on a morph you bought thirty seconds ago.
Do not dump Fossils on skins that need a base dinosaur
This is the mistake that makes codes feel wasted. Many shop entries are skins, primes, or event wraps. They still require the underlying species. If the base Triceratops, Rex, or flyer is locked, the skin sits in the inventory as a decoration. Buy the dinosaur you will spawn as. Cosmetic wraps come later, after you can keep that dinosaur alive for a full growth cycle.
Kharnivore and other anniversary gift-box morphs are not code rewards. They drop from in-world gifts at extremely low rates during event weeks. Do not empty the Fossil pile chasing a drop you cannot buy on demand. Save currency for a ranked land morph, then for an aquatic or flyer once you have read how to fly and the map.
First spawn, first death, first retry
When you finally press Play, assume the nearest adult is hostile. Use controls if bite, sprint, or swim does nothing you expect. PC players move with WASD and sprint with Shift; flyers hold Shift to flap. Mobile uses the on-screen stick. The Group button in the top-left creates or joins a pack. A pack will not save a baby that stands in the open, but it will stop friendly fire from your own stack.
If you die, you lose the growth on that life, not the Fossils on the account. Respawn, eat, hide. Do not immediately spend more Fossils to “catch up.” Catching up is a food problem. How to survive covers packs, territory, and when to leave a watering hole.
A first-hour checklist you can screenshot
- Redeem pe4years and nosril without spawning.
- Choose one diet and one morph you can feed on the current map.
- Confirm the morph is a base dinosaur, not a skin that needs a locked species.
- Spawn away from obvious adult traffic if the lobby lets you.
- Eat and drink before you explore.
- Join or make a Group only if the pack is not already farming babies.
- Spend leftover Fossils after you live ten minutes, not before.
After that checklist, the rest of the wiki is optional for the night. How to play explains the long loop. How to get Fossils is for when the code list is empty. Updates tracks expansions and the Asteroth Mission window scheduled for 25 September 2026. None of those pages replace eating in cover during minute one.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
What should I do first in Primeval Earth?
Stay on the main menu, redeem live codes, pick a diet, then spawn as a baby and eat before you shop for skins.
Why should I not buy a skin with pe4years immediately?
Many skins still need the base dinosaur unlocked. Spend Fossils on a morph you can spawn as, then wrap it later.
Do I need VIP or Premium to start?
No. Premium is 1.2× Fossils from play. VIP is 1.5× Fossils and 1.2× growth. Codes pay the same on a free account.
What diet is safest for a first hour?
A herbivore you can browse in cover, or a small carnivore if you scavenge carcasses. Avoid open-field duels as a baby.
Where do I redeem the starter codes?
Gift button on the main menu. Full steps live on the redeem guide; the live strings live on the codes hub.
