Herbivore Tier List

Herbivores in Trike! Primeval Earth eat plants. That sentence is the entire combat tutorial some players skip. You still share a 30-player island with Tyrannosaurus, pack raptors, and whoever just unlocked a Chaos morph. A diet is a food source. It is not a truce.

This page grades the herbivore roster only. Meat-eaters sit on the carnivore list. Names, skins, and passes sit on the dinosaur roster. Letters are qualitative. No HP. No DPS. Patches and map expansions move matchups; the four roles stay the same: solo PvP, pack, beginner survival, Fossil efficiency.

The documented herbivores are Triceratops / IcicleTriceratops, Parasaurolophus / InterstellarSpacialParasaurolophus, Pachycephalosaurus, BloodMoonDodo, and Bauruspinus. If a video adds a sixth plant-eater we have not listed, it is unverified here on purpose.

Solo PvP

S — hold the ground. Triceratops and IcicleTriceratops are the reason carnivores detour. Face, do not flee in a straight line through open sand, and stop chasing kills you cannot eat. Icicle is a look on that same job unless a patch says the kit changed.

A — heavy presence. Bauruspinus belongs in mixed fights where bulk matters and you have space to turn. It is not a stealth morph. If you spawn it in a crowded Desert bottle-neck you will advertise yourself.

B — poke, do not siege. Pachycephalosaurus wins the first headbutt and loses the long trade against an adult apex. Use it to break a chase, not to camp a carcass you cannot eat.

C — do not take the duel. Parasaurolophus and InterstellarSpacialParasaurolophus should leave, not pose. BloodMoonDodo is a Blood Moon look. It is not a fortress. A Dodo that stands still to emote is a Fossil refund for the nearest Carnotaurus.

Herbivores do not get a water or sky letter on this page. If you want out of a land fight, that is a flyer or aquatic unlock, not a plant-eater trait. Read how to fly and the Aquatic Expansion only after this diet makes sense on foot.

Pack play

S. Parasaurolophus herds and Triceratops groups. Hadrosaurs watch angles. Horns hold the front. A quiet group in cover outlives a loud group on a ridge. InterstellarSpacialParasaurolophus does not change that math; it changes the screenshot.

A. Pachycephalosaurus mixed into a horn line. Headbutts punish the carnivore that dives the wrong target. A Pachy pack with no tank still folds to Tyrannosaurus.

B. Bauruspinus pairs. Two heavies can hold a bush. Three heavies strip the same plants and then wander into a Rex because they got bored.

C. BloodMoonDodo flocks. Funny for ten seconds. Farmed for the next ten. If your group wants a themed screenshot, take it in a dead lobby, then swap to a body that can face a hunt.

Pack herbivores still need how to survive. Facing the same direction is not a formation. Assign a watcher. Do not stack on the same berry node until the juvenile with no stamina is the only one left.

Beginner survival

S. Parasaurolophus. Browse, drink, leave. You will die anyway; you will die less. This is the morph we want under a new account after codes land, not a baby apex and not a Dodo.

A. Triceratops once you can sit still in cover. New players who buy horns first and then sprint across Desert are not playing Triceratops. They are delivering Fossils.

B. Pachycephalosaurus. The headbutt feels like agency. The recovery after a miss is where beginners donate their growth bar.

C. BloodMoonDodo, and Bauruspinus on a first night. Event looks and heavy bodies both shout. Learn the loop on a hadrosaur. Redeem Fossils into bulk after you have lived through one full growth without alt-F4.

Roblox Premium (1.2× Fossils) and VIP (1.5× Fossils, 1.2× growth) make herbivore retries cheaper. They do not make plants safe. A VIP tag is a billboard if you stand on a skyline.

Fossil efficiency

S. Parasaurolophus base, Triceratops base. Two bodies cover flee and hold. That pair teaches the island. Spend live codes here before a pass.

A. Pachycephalosaurus. Cheap enough to be a third slot, not a main identity.

B. IcicleTriceratops and InterstellarSpacialParasaurolophus after the bases exist. Cosmetics. Buy them when the base already feeds you.

C. BloodMoonDodo as a “main.” If it is a limited look, take the screenshot, then park it. There is no efficiency in growing a novelty hitbox during the 4th anniversary when cakes and gift hunters fill every clearing.

Herbivores are not the tier list hub’s dump rank. They are the diet that still has plants when the meat is gone. They also lose to a grown Spinosaurus that dragged the fight to water, and to flyers that you cannot headbutt. If the lobby is nothing but apexes, you do not “out-herbivore” it. You log a quieter server or you grow something that can leave through the sky.

Re-read this page after map patches. A new ridge can turn Triceratops from S to B if the only plants sit in a kill box. We will not pretend a letter is eternal just because the name is famous.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

What is the best herbivore for new Primeval Earth players?

Parasaurolophus. It browses and leaves. Unlock Triceratops after you can hold cover instead of sprinting open ground.

Can Triceratops beat a Tyrannosaurus?

A grown Triceratops can hold space and punish a bad dive. It is not a promise. Face the fight; do not chase the Rex into a pack.

Is BloodMoonDodo good in PvP?

No. It is an event look. Rank it C for fights and C for Fossil efficiency if you try to main it.

Do herbivore skins change combat ranks?

Treat IcicleTriceratops and InterstellarSpacialParasaurolophus as looks on the base bodies unless a patch says the kit changed.
