How to Get Kaiju Skins

Kaiju looks in Trike! Primeval Earth sit on base dinosaurs. They are not extra secret species with their own hidden health bars. Rodan is a Quetzalcoatlus path. Muto is tied to a Therizinosaurus unlock in older notes. Ghidorah is the expensive end of the Monsters Rise pass. If you buy a glowing movie-monster icon and still hatch as a baby starter, you skipped the base. That rule is the same as Prime Pass skins.

This page is the how-to-get loop players actually run during the Monsters Rise / kaiju event window. Community footage (including the Atlas walkthrough embedded below) is the source for quest types and Fossil gates. TEA - Studios has not posted a public Trello with official numbers. Treat the Fossil prices as community-reported and recheck in the Event Progress UI if a patch moved them.

Redeem working codes first so you are not grinding the pass from zero Fossils. Then grow using the growth planner. A juvenile cannot finish event quests in a packed 30-player server.

Open Event Progress, not the shop

On the main menu, open Event Progress. That is the Monsters Rise Primeval Pass track. The orange quests on that panel are tied to timed events that rotate on public servers about every 15 minutes. Private or empty servers will starve the pass. You need the public event clock.

Your pass level sits in the lower right of that UI. Each kaiju step on the track wants Fossils after the XP, and you cannot skip ahead. Unlock the current kaiju before the next row opens. That is why people stall on Muto with a full Fossil pile and no Rodan: they never spent the gate.

The three event types

Public servers rotate three named manifestations. Match the orange quest to the event that is actually running. Do not stand in Desert waiting for lightning if your quest says Abyssal Inferno.

Abyssal Inferno. When the inferno manifestation starts, kill a creature that is taking damage inside it. A separate quest may ask you to pick up lava fragments that spawn around the map during the same window. If you ignore the fragments and only chase kills, you stall one of the two inferno jobs.

Golden Tempest. Lightning dumps shards. Collect the shards that fall from the strikes. You do not need to win a PvP duel in the storm. You need the shards on the ground before someone else vacuums them.

Colossal Queen. A queen rock spawns on the map during that event. Hold E (or the mobile interact control) on the rock until it counts. Walking past it does not credit the quest.

If the event ends before you finish, wait for the next 15-minute cycle. Do not hop servers mid-interact unless the current lobby is already a hunting party sitting on your rock.

Community-reported Fossil gates

Player walkthroughs list the spend to unlock each kaiju on the pass before you can move on:

StepReported Fossil costNotes
Muto100,000 FossilsConfirm the base (Therizinosaurus path in older unlock notes) before you click.
Rodan200,000 FossilsEquips on the Quetzalcoatlus body. Learn how to fly or you stall the skin into the ground.
Ghidorah300,000 FossilsEnd of the track. Still a skin on a base, not a free admin morph.

Those numbers are from event-week footage, not a studio patch note. If Event Progress shows a different price, trust the UI. Codes such as pe4years and nosril help but will not cover 100k by themselves. Pair them with the Fossil farm route: grow, hold space, event cakes when they exist, Premium 1.2× and VIP 1.5× on play Fossils.

Do not confuse this pass with VIP or Prime Pass. VIP multiplies growth and play Fossils. Prime Pass is Spinosaurus Prime, TyrannosaurusRex, and Allosaurus Prime. Eclipse is the TyrantRaptor exception. None of those skip the Monsters Rise Fossil gates.

After the skin unlocks

Spawn the base dinosaur, then select the kaiju look. Hold Shift to flap if you picked Rodan on Quetzalcoatlus. Release glides. Stop flapping long enough and you stall. The how to survive page still applies: hunger, thirst, and 30-player traffic do not care that you look like a movie poster.

Kaiju week fills servers. Farm on a quieter lobby when you need Fossils, then hop to a public event server when you need quest XP. Mixing those jobs on one packed ridge is how the pass takes three days instead of one evening.

If you only wanted Distortus Rex, that morph is documented on the Tyrannosaurus page. It is a Rex-slot look, not a Monsters Rise row. Kharnivore is still an anniversary gift-box hunt, not a kaiju pass unlock.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

How do I unlock kaiju skins in Primeval Earth?

Open Event Progress on the main menu, finish the orange quests on public-server events, then spend Fossils on each kaiju in order. You cannot skip a locked row.

How much do Muto, Rodan, and Ghidorah cost?

Community footage reports 100k, 200k, and 300k Fossils. Recheck Event Progress if a patch moved the prices.

Do kaiju skins need a base dinosaur?

Yes. Rodan sits on Quetzalcoatlus. Other looks sit on other bases. Buying the pass row without the base leaves you on a baby starter.

Can I finish the kaiju pass in a private server?

The orange quests need the public 15-minute events. Empty or private lobbies starve Event Progress.
