How to Grow

Growth is the real progression bar in Trike! Primeval Earth. Fossils change which body you hatch as. Growth changes whether that body survives the lobby. You always start as a baby. Babies have a small hitbox, low health, and a food clock that does not care about your shop purchases. This page is how to finish a cycle instead of restarting it.

Pair it with how to play for the full loop and how to survive for packs. Currency questions go to how to get Fossils.

The baby hitbox problem

A baby is easy to overlook in grass and easy to delete in the open. Adults clip you without committing to a long fight. Your job for the first minutes is to stop being a baby, not to take territory. That means:

  • Spawn and move into cover immediately. Red Wood trunks and Pines beat Desert flats. Names live on the map.
  • Do not sprint in a straight line across sand or ridgelines. Shift sprint is for escaping, not touring.
  • Do not drink in the middle of a crowded watering hole. Sip from the edge or find a quieter pool.
  • Do not bite an adult “to help the pack.” Your bite does not matter yet. Your corpse does.

If you cannot see canopy, rocks, or a Group of friendlies, you spawned badly. Reset the life. A ten-second rejoin is cheaper than a two-minute death walk.

Food and water are the growth engine

The bar moves while you are alive and fed. Empty hunger or empty thirst kills you without a PvP report. Herbivores browse plants; stand in cover while you eat. Carnivores need carcasses or kills; scavenging a body in bushes is growth, charging a full adult is not. Aquatics feed in water and along the coast; drowning the food plan in a 1v1 on the beach wastes the cycle. Flyers must land or dive to eat, which is when stall deaths happen if you have not read how to fly.

Drink on a schedule, not in a panic. Thirst spikes when you have already over-committed to a chase. Abort the chase. Water is closer than the adult you will not kill.

Diet mistakes feel like “growth is broken.” They are not. You picked a morph whose food is not near your hiding spot. Switch morphs using the roster or move biomes. Do not buy a skin to fix hunger.

VIP 1.2× growth

The VIP gamepass multiplies growth by 1.2× and Fossils from play by 1.5×. Roblox Premium is only 1.2× Fossils from play; it does not speed the bar. VIP is a time saver on a morph you already know how to feed. It is a money sink on a morph you keep feeding to adults.

If you own VIP, spend the extra speed in cover. Growing faster also means you become visible faster. A mid-growth juvenile is a worse hiding object than a baby and a worse fighter than an adult. That window is where packs help and where solo players should sit in Pines instead of Desert.

2× growth events

Player videos and lobby chat mention 2× growth windows during admin-abuse streams and anniversary weeks. Treat those as timed multipliers, not as a permanent setting. When a 2× window is up:

  • Spawn the morph you already understand.
  • Sit on food and water. Do not start a world tour.
  • Ignore shop thumbnails until the window ends.
  • Let the bar finish. Dying at 80% during 2× is the most expensive death in the game.

If no window is up, grow at the normal rate. Do not wait days for a multiplier if you still need to learn controls. A finished adult at 1× beats a baby that waited for 2× and then died on spawn.

Growth versus shopping

Fossils do not fill the bar. Unlocking a larger species starts you as that species’ baby, not as an adult. Event skins that need a base dinosaur will not grow until you can spawn the base. Finish one cycle on a cheap morph from the tier list before you spend pe4years leftovers. Getting started exists because players skip this sentence.

Codes such as pe4years and nosril on the codes list buy the next body. They do not skip hunger.

A growth session that works

  1. Redeem codes if any are live, then spawn.
  2. Walk into cover before you eat.
  3. Fill hunger and thirst, then nibble, do not roam.
  4. Accept a Group invite only if the pack is hiding, not baiting.
  5. Sit through juvenile visibility. Do not contest water against two adults.
  6. Once grown, then take territory or swap morphs.

Death during step 5 is normal. Death during step 2 means you skipped cover. Track which one you actually do.

When to stop growing this morph

Stop when the adult can live without you thinking about the bar. Then either hold space for Fossils or unlock the next diet. Aquatic and flyer growth add movement tests: swim inputs players report on controls, flap-and-stall on the flying page. Do not start those tests on a baby in a packed lobby. Grow a land morph first so you know what “fed” feels like.

The updates hub is where new growth events and the Asteroth Mission scheduled for 25 September 2026 will show up. Until a patch changes the bar, food, water, cover, and not taking adult fights are the whole skill.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Why do I stay a baby for so long?

The bar only moves while you are alive and fed. Deaths reset that life. Hide, eat, drink, and stop dueling adults.

Does VIP make me grow faster?

Yes. VIP is 1.2× growth and 1.5× Fossils from play. Premium does not speed growth. Neither fills hunger for you.

Are 2× growth events real?

Players record 2× windows during streams and anniversary weeks. Use them on a morph you can feed; they are not always on.

Does buying a bigger dinosaur skip baby stage?

No. You hatch as that species' baby. Fossils change the morph, not the growth stage.

Where should a baby grow?

Cover with food nearby. Red Wood and Pines beat open Desert. Avoid crowded watering holes until you are past the baby hitbox.
